2 March, premier dimanche de carême/first Sunday of Lent, their Majesties attend a sermon at the chapelle du Louvre.

3 March, his Majesty grants an audience to the ambassador of Savoy, after which he receives Monsieur Blumenthal, envoy of the Elector of Brandenbourg, who is bound to leave France soon.

10 March, their Majesties travel to Saint-Germain-en-Laye in company of Monsieur and Madame for the hunt and a promenade.

16 March, Monsieur le Comte de Crussol has today wed Marie-Julie de Sainte-Maure, the only child of Monsieur de Montausier.

17 March, their Majesties still reside at Saint-Germain-en-Laye, where they enjoy hunts and entertainments.

18 March, their Majesties attend a sermon of Monsieur Côme at the Couvent des Récollets of Saint-Germain. His Majesty has ordered the arrest of Monsieur La Pause, after he has been told there are serious concerns Monsieur La Pause, who is in service of the French ambassadors, might have sold secrets of state to foreign Ministers. Monsieur La Pause will be brought to the Bastille.

20 March, his Majesty receives Lord Hollis, ambassador extraordinary of England.

23 March, their Majesties attend another sermon of Monsieur Côme at the Couvent des Récollets of Saint-Germain.

24 March, their Majesties leave Saint-Germain-en-Laye after luncheon and travel to Versailles, where they enjoy a promenade, before returning to Paris.

25 March, their Majesties attend a sermon of Monsieur Côme at the chapel of the Louvre.

30 March, their Majesties attend another sermon of Monsieur Côme at the chapel of the Louvre.
