1 October, his Majesty travels to Versailles to enjoy the autumn gardens. Having returned to Paris, his Majesty goes to the Palais-Royal, where Monsieur holds a ball for the dames de la cour.
8 October, at the Bois de Boulogne, his Majesty attends a review of his gardes françaises, gardes du corps, mousquetaires, chevau-légers and gendarmes.
10 October, his Majesty grants an audience to the ambassador of Savoy, Francesco Ghiron Villa, and the Comte de Salazar, envoy of Mantua.
12 October, his Majesty receives the extraordinary ambassador of Denmark, Monsieur Hannibal Sehestedt.
13 October, the King travels to Versailles for the deer hunt. His majesty is accompanied by Monsieur le Prince, Monsieur le Duc and Monsieur le Duc de Beaufort.
25 October, his Majesty hunts the deer in the surroundings of Versailles and in company of Monsieur le Prince, Monsieur le Duc and Monsieur le Comte.
26 October, his Majesty receives the ambassador of Venice.
27 October, his Majesty purchases Dunkerque and Mardyck, which were since the signing of the Traité des Pyrénées in English possession, from the King of England.
30 October, his Majesty receives the Marquis Ville, extraordinary ambassador of Savoy, who came to ask for the hand of the King’s cousin Mademoiselle de Valois (Françoise-Madeleine d’Orléans) on behest of the Duc de Savoie (Charles-Emmanuel II).
