1 October, his Majesty names the Bishop of Rodez (Hardouin de Péréfixe de Beaumont) Chancellor and Superintendent of the Order and witnesses the saying of the oath.
9 October, his Majesty is present as François de Clermont-Tonnerre takes his oath as new Bishop of Noyon.
10 October, the new Bishop of Noyon takes his leave from the King.
15 October, his Majesty resides at Fontainebleau and according to the Gazette “does his best and everything necessary to ensure the glory of France as well as his own and the prosperity of his people“.
16 October, to respond to the incident of London, his Majesty orders his negotiators to stop all conversation with Spain and dismisses the Comte de Fuensaldaña.
21 October, his Majesty hunts, after which he visits the eglise des Carmes des Basse-Loges for the Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament held by the Bishop of Césarée.
27 October, her Majesty is in good health. She is expected to go into labour very soon. Prayers are said everyday for her and France to be blessed with a healthy Dauphin.
31 October, her Majesty has gone into labour! His Majesty is by her side. May God bless France and their Majesties with the birth of a healthy son.
