1 October, their Majesties receive Abbé Ciry, who is in service of the Duc de Parme, and has come to announce the marriage of the Duc and Isabelle d’Este.
2 October, their Majesties attend a play performed by the comédie espagnole.
3 October, les Noces de village, a ballet by Monsieur Lully and Monsieur Benserade, is performed at Vincennes. His Majesty dances in it and is much admired by the court.
7 October, his Majesty received the deputies of the clergy on matters regarding Cardinal Antoine Barberini and Jansenism.
12 October, his Majesty reviews his gardes francaises et suisses, grands et petits mousquetaires, gardes du corps, chevau-légers and gendarmes. In the evening, his Majesty invites to a competition of equestrian sports and fireworks close to Vincennes.
15 October, their Majesties and the Dauphin leave Vincennes to enjoy the next days in Versailles.
22 October, after enjoying the hunt in Versailles, their Majesties depart for Paris and stop in Saint-Germain for supper.
25 October, his Majesty receives the Comte de Gyldenløve, ambassador of Denmark and a naturalised son of his Majesty, Frederick III of Denmark.
26 October, his Majesty receives the États d’Artois, who came to talk with his Majesty about the about the fairground trading offices.
29 October, his Majesty receives Monsieur Willem Boreel van Duinbeke, ambassador of the Republic of the Seven United Netherlands.
31 October, his Majesty grants audiences to the ambassadors of Venice and Mantoue.
