1 September, his Majesty travels from Nomeny to a plain between Aulnois, Craincourt and Fousiex to parade the might of his army. After which he is invited to dinner by the Maréchal de La Ferté-Senneterre.
2 September, his Majesty reviews his cavalerie, after which he returns to Nomeny.
3 September, his Majesty leaves Nomeny in the early morning for Metz, where the Duc de Lorraine awaits him.
4 September, his Majesty leaves Metz at one o’clock in the morning and heads to Dormas, to spend the rest of the night there.
5 September, his Majesty celebrates his 25th birthday today. An agreement has been struck with the Duc de Lorraine, who will honour his promises from thus on. His Majesty arrives at Vincennes around noon, where he will soon be joined by her Majesty.
7 September, his Majesty receives Monsieur de Polastron, who was sent by the Maréchal de La Ferté, to inform him the troops of the Duc de Lorraine have withdrawn from Marsal and those of his Majesty have entered the town.
15 September, their Majesties, in perfect health, reside at Vincennes. A court ballet is planned for the next month.
19 September, his Majesty rides to Versailles for a promenade, after which he returns to Vincennes.
20 September, his Majesty invites to fireworks and snacks at Vincennes in honour of her Majesty and to celebrate her anniversary.
21 September, his Majesty receives Pére Navarro, général des Minimes.
26 September, their Majesties, with company, hunt in the surroundings of Vincennes.
30 September, his Majesty meets the Duc de Mecklembourg, who has converted to catholicism the previous day.
